Matt Kettmann is a writer, editor,and photographer based in Santa Barbara, California. He is the senior editor of The Santa Barbara Independent, a frequent contributor to Time and Sunset magazines, and has also written for Smithsonian, Wine Spectator, the San Francisco Chronicle, Ode, Swindle, SkyWest, Hemispheres, Ventana, Broughton Quarterly, and other publications. In addition to his articles and photographs from California, Matt has reported from such far-flung locations as India, Uganda, Bolivia, Belize, Costa Rica, Panama, Thailand, Hong Kong, Europe, and the little known, officially unrecognized republic of Nagorno-Karabakh.
